    Description

    The Mariä Himmelfahrt Catholic Church was built 1889. The church, made out of sandstone and famous for its big pointed windows is often used for concerts because of its impressive organ and great acoustics.

    Short description

    The Kipperhof was first mentioned in the 18th century on maps that can be found in the city’s archives in Otterberg and diocese archives Speyer. The main building, which is still to be seen in its original state today, was a so-called long house, a typical regional farm house.

    Today, the Kipperhof is the oldest building in all of Ottebach. At the heart of the property you can find a beautiful patio with trees and farm-like accessories. At the restaurant you can find documents and maps depicting the history of the region throughout various centuries. On top, you can find historical gear and other mechanical thigs, including old bicycles that provide interesting Information and a harmonic ambience.

    Short description

    Since 1980 the Motorcycle Musuem Heinz Luthringshauser is hosting an unique permament exhibiton about historically important motorcycles in rooms that – used for that purpose - you can’t find anywhere else in the world. The exhibition is housed in the protestant church of the town.

  • Signal Tower Museum

    Stellwerk Museum Otterbach

    Right at the railroad crossing leading to Erfenbach you can find the railway control museum Otterbach.

    This railway control center went into service 1911 and went out of service in 2005 when the electronical safety mechanisms were digitalized.

    Tours are done by real railmen of the train agency who are passionate about telling the story and work behind the signal tower.
